Jerry Seinfeld and Larry Miller 4/12/14 – Beasley Coliseum, Pullman, WA
Review, videos, and photos by thenaturalstoner
While Mom’s Weekend on the Washington State University campus is packed full of events every year, us “locals” typically hunker down and stay inside to avoid the massive influx of people and drunken carnage that comes along with the moms. I have always heard that more booze, condoms, and morning after pills are purchased this weekend than any other in Pullman, Washington, and I believe that. While ... Read More

During times that legendary musicians aren't stopping by Third Man Records to record things in every way besides typical, Jack White does indeed fancy himself a live musician. Besides a handful of Festival dates, the pale faced guitar beast has scheduled a bakers dozen of dates across North America, kicking off in Tulsa on May 29th. Fox Theater in St. Louis AND Detroit are happening, as well as two nights in Chicago before the tour "closer" at the Air Canada Centre in ... Read More

Hanging with folks this week who have fond memories of the Meat Puppets opening for Ween at Red Rocks some years back. So of course the amazing Red Rocks Amphitheater was part of the day's sight seeing tour, along with a walk on campus at University of Colorado where I sat in on a Psych class for no reason whatsoever. Tonight we're in Boulder at The Fox Theater, and it's a tad later show. Doors at 8:30.

Exactly one year after taking a road trip down to Pennsylvania to catch The Meat Puppets in Ween Country for two nights, tonight we kick off another double dip of the Meat Puppets, this time with The Moistboyz in the great state of Colorado. Always a good time when you could get me off the east coast. Last time I crossed time zones was Soundgraden at The Gorge Amphitheater in Washington in 2011. Now it's Denver's turn to have me inside of ... Read More

Vintage Vinyl, St. Louis, MO
I just can't stay away from Vintage Vinyl and, its for good reason too. The special events/instores they frequently host are just too good to pass up. On a nice, chilly Tuesday night in St. Louis, the Leverage Models from New York stopped by the give everyone reason to funk it up. Earlier in the week I won a Twitter contest put on by Vintage Vinyl for ZZ Ward concert tickets. I had ... Read More

Local H is currently on the inaugural tour with new drummer Ryan Harding, and by all indications things seem to be moving along smoother than a friction-less surface. So after endless nights awake looking for shooting stars to pass along the sky it turns out the band has added more gigs to this trek. With a handful of shows left for March ending with a Scott Lucas solo spot in Forest Park, IL, the boys will head further east hitting towns Local ... Read More

Tool – 3/4/2014 Spokane Arena – Spokane, Washington

Full Concert Confessions Disclosure Intro: I am a Tool noob. Not the biggest noob of all time mind you, but one nonetheless. I know and enjoy most of the popular songs, but have not taken the time in my past to delve deep into their catalog. This is a self-admitted mistake and something I hope to rectify down the line. Regardless of my naivety, I ... Read More

They'll take things up the east coast and back across the country through Texas and wrapping up in California ... Read More

105.7 The Point has done a great job over the past 21 years bringing some of the biggest names in modern rock to town to celebrate Halloween, Christmas, and their Birthday by playing shows across St. Louis. When this one was announced back in the Fall it was no question that this would sell out. The Arctic Monkeys have played at The Pageant before ... Read More

While I recognized the name Biffy Clyro, I only started to pay attention to the band after they became the latest temper tantrum target for the once great artist known as Trent Reznor. In a tweet sent right before the massive Reading Festival across the pond in the United Kingdom, the Academy Award winner was upset that some “whoever the fuck they are” band was not only following Nine Inch Nails, they also “fucked him” on production. Not knowing a damn thing ... Read More

It has been exactly 47 hours since I stood five feet away from Failure as they played live music and the truth of the matter is that I still don’t believe it happened. The group has been number one on my list of bands I want to see reunite since I rescued Fantastic Planet from a discount bin at well-known Bay Area record store. That lone purchase I made on that afternoon in October 1998 would end up becoming my favorite album ... Read More

With a smorgasbord of musicians spread across Southern California for the annual NAMM convention, Joseph Arthur once again found himself west of the 405 freeway for a night of hilarious comedy. Did I say comedy? I meant music. To be fair the intimate late night set at McCabe’s Guitar Shop in Santa Monica was a 50/50 split of both, much to the delight of those who politely turned off their phones and turned their focus onto the man who had recently returned ... It’s crazy to think that Helmet has been cranking out tasty heavy metal jams for over twenty years. With no new album to support, hardcore 49ers fan Page Hamilton and the gang ventured into the enemy territory known as Seattle for a few gigs with Wire.
