Party Like It's 1999 - Epicenter 2011 Moves to Orange County

In 2009, an exciting and new rock festival hit Los Angeles County. It was called Epicenter, and with acts like Alice in Chains, Atmosphere and Tool rocking a packed Fairplex in Pomona, it was clear the festival had a bright future. In 2010, the festival moved out to San Bernardino County where upwards of 50,000 watched the festival take the next step as a two day festival featuring exciting performances by Eminem, Blink 182, Rise Against, Bad Religion and reunion performances from House of Pain and Bush.

So you ask what the next logical step for the Epicenter Festival is?!?!?!?! Apparently it is a step back to 1999. With it’s third county in three years (Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Orange County) Epicenter returns looking for at least 16,000 folks still rocking backwards red baseball caps.

That’s right Epicenter 2011 will rock Irvine, CA on Sept 24, 2011. In addition to a headline performance by Limp Bizkit, the lineup includes Y2K favorites like Staind, Papa Roach, Puddle of Mudd and P.O.D. You can’t make this shit up people.

Who cares when tickets go on sale, unless you want to be up front our advice is to wait for Live Nation to have an “oh crap” fire sale sometime in August.
