Truth be told, around 2008 I worked at a Chinese Take Out place doing the phones and serving as the English speaking member of the staff. The work attire was “wear whatever the hell you want”, so I’d alternate band tee shirts and such hoping that customers caught on.

Anyway, this dude comes in and notices either my Sonic Youth Or Dinosaur Jr shirt and he suggested I take a listen to the Heartless Bastards. The name was bad ass enough, and when I found them on Pandora Internet Radio I was stunned at how much I actually liked a band currently making music.

Then, when I was booted from the message boards and refunded my money I got away from Pandora, and Rock radio in NYC is non-existent. So I lost the Heartless Bastards in the shuffle.

But alas, they come to The Ed Sullivan Theater to take the Letterman stage. With the new album out “Arrow”, they played “Parted Ways”. And I’m so happy getting into the “social media Journalism” thing found me back listening to the sweet tunes of the Heartless Bastards.

And Big Ups to the AudioPerv for the Video

Jay Porks here.. You may bump into me at a show or two-I am the one wearing the shirt that says Your Favorite Band Sucks while juggling a camera and taking notes... I love music, so when I go to Rock concerts I feel the need to pass off my experiences of the show to you, the reader, by writing a review here @ ConcertConfessions.com and of course over @ JayPorks.Com.. I use the term review loosely while grimacing, because thats not what this is.. It is not all about the technicalities of the situation more than it is about what the situation brings to the technicalities... The Jay Porks Experience, take a stroll my shoes for a little while...
