Red Fang Announce Benefit Concert For Grant High Art Department

It’s always nice to see musicians give back to the folks who helped them along the way. This is exactly what the fine men of Red Fang are doing next month. With Portland schools struggling to various art classes afloat, the boys will be hosting “A Benefit For Grant High Art Department.” The gig will take place May 25th at the Hawthorne Theatre in Portland Oregon and will feature Red Fang joined by Lopez, Nether Regions and Grant High’s own Hell’s Parrish.

Red Fang’s Aaron Beam commented on the state of Grant High’s Arts Program:

“It is a shame that Grant High’s arts are underfunded, and a bit mysterious to me. Young artists looking for cheap venues to create and display their works move to and revitalize cities and neighborhoods. It happens repeatedly. I watched it happen in Portland in the 1990s, with artist communities such as The Lab and The Modern Zoo, and clubs like the X-Ray.”

Tickets for the benefit can be purchased by clicking here. As of press time, the only other US date currently scheduled for Red Fang is an appearance at the Orion Music + More Festival on June 23rd in Atlantic City, NJ.
