The Beach Boys Didn’t Die On Fallon
I’ll tell you a true story right now. Back at the Gorge last year, during the end of the Meat Puppets set, our man Mr. Sparkly was pissed he missed them covering The Beach Boys “Sloop John B” a video that can be found here:
He was pissed because he loves the Beach Boys, and was in the process of bringing his camera back to the campsite after Livenation mistakenly thought we were wearing lipstick and completely fucked us hard out of our photo passes that were left for us through Meat Puppets management.
So when I noticed that NBC was quick to upload the Beach Boys performing three songs on Jimmy Fallon from Monday night (5/7), I said “hey, why not check these out, you know in case one of them die“. Turns out the night wasn’t a complete wipe-out (there’s your one surfing pun), as I found myself seriously enjoying the ol’ school jam “Wouldn’t It Be Nice”. Then I figured, since I write for a website with a “As Seen On TV” section-I’d share these videos with you, because that’s the kind of guy I am. Enjoy
