Edward Sharpe And The Magnetic Zeros Hit Jimmy Kimmel

Last year I was SO on board with that “Home” song that Edward Sharpe And The Magnetic Zeros had out. I bought it from iTunes, added it to my best of 2011 playlist and all. Song was pretty cool, band’s name was freaking awesome. So I was so ready to hear some more cool stuff coming from this band when I tuned into Jimmy Kimmel on Tuesday night.

Then they performed. Can I ask a question? What in the f%&k was that?! I didn’t know there were still homeless hippies running around taking over stages for jam fests.  What is this side street of the thrift shop in Tacoma type stuff? They played two songs: “That’s What’s Up” kicked it off. And that was bad. But I was okay because it had a little “Home” vibe for about 4 riffs. Then “Man On Fire”. Now this circle of crap ended up with this Ed Sharpe dude walking into the crowd with that same blank stare he walks around stage with. Looked like a Zombie. It’s not like he was Iggy Pop or that dude from the band Fucked Up.

This whole ordeal was a complete waste of my time. But I invite you to waste yours, some people are into this stuff.  Doesn’t make you a bad person, just makes me want to sit down with you for 50 minutes and have a detailed discussion about your past demons.  Video lies below
