Watch Video Highlights From The 12/12/12 Sandy Benefit

After last night’s big Hurricane Sandy Benefit at Madison Square Garden, we figured it best to give you the afternoon to decompress. Late Wednesday evening we shared with you video of the headliner Paul McCartney teaming with Krist Novoselic, Pat Smear and Dave Grohl to perform a new song called “Cut Me Some Slack“. That video you can watch here.  Below this strong worded paragraph, we’ve place a couple of video highlights of the evenings proceedings for you to view on your own time. Check them out:

First up, everybody’s favorite pretend Grunger Edder Vedder joined Roger Waters on stage to sing a duet on Comfortably Numb

Mr. Slowhand himself also known as God, Eric Clapton came out to play a brief three song set that concluded with Crossroads

The Who slipped some F-Bombs past the censors, and that’s something everyone can enjoy. But here, some fan filmed footage by someone with a speedy internet connection. Here’s “Who Are You

Last Night, Chris Martin became just a shade less of a pussy when he brought out  R.E.M.‘s Micheal Stipe during his short set. The duo sang “Losing My Religion” and it was freaking awesome. Probably my personal highlight even though I really, really, really hate this Chris Martin guy.

Finally, here’s Paul McCartney playing “Live And Let Die”.

Is your favorite moment of last night missing from these highlights? Well here’s something that could be fun: Leave us a comment with your personal highlight of the evening and we’ll add it in for you. That’s how we roll.
