Neil Young and Crazy Horse
Key Arena, Seattle WA - 11/10/12
Videos by Phishbeard
Concert Confessions contributor Phishbeard hits tons of shows. Actually, tons is probably an understatement. The guy hits so many shows that he's usually on his way to the next one before he can share any info with us about the show he just left. But the videos continue to upload.
This week, our buddy Phishbeard was lucky enough to catch Neil Young & Crazy Horse at The Key Arena in Seattle. ... Read More

Dinosaur Jr - 10/11/2012
The WOW Hall - Eugene, OR
Words/Video - Phishbeard
Well folks, I bring to you another review from Phishbeard’s crazy 2012 concert tour hellride. This tale is about how I was able to take a very important band off my bucket list of must see shows. I had wanted to see Dinosaur Jr. play live, since the Where You Been album was released in 1993, but whenever the opportunity arose, I was always busy doing something else. I now know that ... Watch LeBron James Perform With LMFAO
For the past few weeks behind the scenes at Concert Confessions, both Phishbeard and thenaturalstoner have been gushing over LeBron James like 13 year old girl swoons for Justin Bieber. While we can’t knock them for wanting their former team the Seattle Supersonics to be crushed in the finals, these guys believe their king can do no wrong. Heck one look at thenaturalstoner’s Avett Brothers post last night should prove that. Oh and knowing how much Phishbeard ... Read More

The Avett Brothers on Conan 6/21/12
Hey mofos, while we are all celebrating the Miami Heats triumphant NBA Finals Victory tonight the world famous Avett Brothers were hitting the sauce extra hard with a Lebron James sized rager in their pants on cable tv's Conan show. They came out and slammed everyone in the face with a Conan-erific version of Murder in the City wowzering all in attendance. Concert Confessions favorite Phishbeard really likes these dudes (as does DarbySTL), so strap on a ... Read More

You could use a ton of clichés to describe our pal Phishbeard. Let’s just say homeboy marches to the beat of his own drum. A nomad, a free spirit, someone who shoots first and asks questions later. Homeboy spent Memorial Day weekend at the Gorge enjoying the 2012 Sasquatch Music Festival. He took no less than 1200 photos. Here are the best ones. We hope you enjoy.

Earlier this week, Roger Waters' current North American Tour made a stop in beautiful Portland Oregon. While we can’t confirm that Waters stopped by Voodoo Doughnuts, we do know he built The Wall at the Rose Garden Arena. Our pal Phishbeard was in the house and you can watch the complete fan filmed experience down below.

Dear concert going friends,
I know you and I go way back (hope all is well!) and it has been a long time since we have talked, but there is just something extremely exciting that has built inside of me about what is going to happen this weekend at THE GORGE for the 2012 version of the Sasquatch! Festival that I must tell you about. Last years Festival set the stage for a year of great memories and the need to “go back ... Read More

With our pal Phishbeard always on the road it is hard for this avid concert documentation artist to post reviews. This is why we are introducing a new feature here at Concert Confessions. Phishbeard's Video Corner is where you can come to watch full (or near full) performances from artists from all walks of life. First up is a performance from Danny Barnes who recently rocked Cozmic Pizza in Eugene Oregon. We hope you enjoy.

Rocking Out With Mom - A Tribute To The Women Who Raised Us
A few months ago we had the bright idea to have some of your favorite confessors share tales of attending concerts with their Mother's. We hope you enjoy them and encourage you to share your own via the comment section. Happy Mother's Day to our Mom's and all the Mom's out there. Thank you for all that you do.

Well folks, Phishbeard once again is falling behind on reviews for his 2012 concert tour hellride. I am just running into the issue of lack of time, especially when I hit more than 3 shows in the same week. There is something in the early stages though friends at ConcertConfessions.com, which will be a link to featured whole shows that I film. I may not be able to get all my reviews out in a timely fashion, but I will always have ... Read More

Meat Loaf Announces Summer 2012 North American Tour Dates
One of us likes Meat Loaf. Perhaps Phishbeard or maybe it was the Porkster I forget which one. I had a Meat Loaf phase in like 9th grade when he made his first come back. Did you know that Meat Loaf now has 11 albums under his belt? I sure as hell didn’t, but yeah his latest is called Hell In A Handbasket. Anyways you don’t really care what I say here you just ... Cornmeal and Hot Buttered Rum 03/14/12
Wow Hall - Eugene, OR
Words/Photos by Phishbeard
Here we go again my fellow readers, round two of Phishbeard’s Cornmeal and Hot Buttered Rum adventure. Another fine addition to my 2012 concert tour hellride. After a most wonderful night of being hammered and dancing my ass off in Bend, I knew that the WoW Hall in Eugene was in store for some good times on the night of 3/14/12. I was pretty hung over during the day while driving ... Read More

Ok folks, once again I will start out with an apology about the tardiness of my review, but nobody’s perfect right? Life always has a way of changing one’s plans and I get sidetracked enough as it is. The adventure that this review will cover is about another stop in Bend, Oregon for Phishbeard’s 2012 concert tour hellride to see Cornmeal and Hot Butter Rum play at the Goodlife Brewing Company. I have seen Hot Buttered Rum a handful of times over ... Read More

There are many times during Phishbeard’s 2012 concert tour hellride that I get the opportunity to experience a local adventure, instead of hitting the road to fuel my addiction of live music. The night of 3/7/12, Deborah Henson-Conant blessed the fans at Jaqua Concert Hall in Eugene, Oregon with her ever so wonderful music. The night prior, I arrived at the venue right as the show was supposed to start. I was running late because I was waiting for my friend's from ... Read More

Trey Anastasio w/ the Los Angeles Philharmonic 03/10/12
Walt Disney Concert Hall - Los Angeles, CA
Words/Photos by Reverend Justito
Back in 2010 I wrote an open letter to Phish and the Los Angeles Philharmonic begging them to team up for a performance at the Hollywood Bowl. While we finally got to see Phish at the Bowl last summer, it was your typical two set balls to the wall affair with no sign of the Phil in sight. Thankfully my wish somewhat came true in ... The newest addition to Phishbeard’s 2012 concert tour hellride took place in Portland, OR for a two night run of Railroad Earth and Poor Man’s Whiskey. I must admit that I have only seen Railroad Earth a small handful of times, so I was excited to get a double header at the Crystal Ballroom. That weekend for me will be forever stored in that resonated filing cabinet that I call my memory. The adventure may have had it’s ups and downs, but ... Read More

Valentine’s Day, 2012 was extra special for Phishbeard this year. I attended a formal house party of approximately 50 people, where there was a potluck and Fruition played 2 sets of music. Rocking fancy clothes is something I rarely do, so dressing up for this party was actually fun for me. The show took place at a house located in the Belmont District of Portland, Oregon. The folks in attendance that night were mostly friends of the band and hardcore fans. It ... Read More

Eugene, Oregon definitely was blessed with a wonderful night of music when moe. came to town on 1/29/12 to play my favorite local venue, the McDonald Theatre. This was my second consecutive night of getting the pleasure of being at a moe. concert and after the previous show in Portland, I was oozing with eagerness to see the band throw down another bitchin’ night of great tunes. I showed up early in hopes of snagging the best seat in the house to ... Read More

As promised, I am trying to get my 2012 reviews out in a more timely fashion, so here is the latest addition to my 2012 hellride. This adventure begins in the wonderful city of Potland, OR. The rain let up once I arrived down town, which is always a rarity during Portland’s winter months. I found a parking garage with ease that was close to the venue with plenty of cheap late night parking available, a definite blessing as well. After a ... Read More

Well folks, I have encountered this question many times in the last couple months, “Hey Phishbeard, why do you go to so many shows, but haven’t posted reviews to everything you have seen?”. My answer to that question is hard to truly justify. I have been without my laptop for some time now and often I am on the road for numerous days before I even get a chance to sit down at a computer. Coupled with my ... Read More

As 2011 reaches a close, we take a look back at the year in concerts. In volume, I probably attend the least amount of total shows per year if you pool all of the contributors here at Concert Confessions. But never the less, by years end I will have reached 23 concerts, eclipsing last years total of 20. My only personal goal is to always get out to more shows then the year before. We did that in 2011, and here's hoping ... Read More

Well folks, it is that time of year, when all the crew at Concert Confessions take our best concert memories of 2011 and sum them up into the 10 best shows of the year. I must say, I have been dragging my feet on this one, even more than my tardiness of the 20 plus reviews I still must write. 2011 has been a year of many ups and downs for me and can be considered a fucking hellride ...
