LouFest returns for its 4th annual Summer festival taking place in Central Fields of Forest Park in St. Louis, MO. This year they have pushed the date back a few weeks from late August to early September, meaning we may luck out with highs near 95 instead of 106. But it is St. Louis, so there is also a chance of snow and somehow even a hurricane. This year we can also welcome the idea of expanding the festival to take up ... Read More

Earlier today, some Beck news happened that doesn't involve odd collaborations or sheet music. Plans to hit the road for some acoustic dates this summer were unveiled. By some we mean six. Wantagh, NY gets Beck with Dylan and Wilco at 4 in the afternoon, and Rhode Island gets hit for the Newport Folk Festival. The finale in Brooklyn at Prospect Park (part of the Celebrate Brooklyn concert series) is NOT free, and you can get ticket information here. Check out the ... Read More

Wilco Hits Late Night w/ Jimmy Fallon
Wilco has had some 3 days.. This week of they played two back to back shows at Prospect Park in Brooklyn in the rain, and before they headlined a gig at Terminal 5 they stopped by 30 Rock to play a two songs for Jimmy Fallon, one being a web exclusive. After watching this, the only question that remains is why this writer is typing this up instead of being on his way home from Terminal 5 ... Read More

Dear concert going friends,
I know you and I go way back (hope all is well!) and it has been a long time since we have talked, but there is just something extremely exciting that has built inside of me about what is going to happen this weekend at THE GORGE for the 2012 version of the Sasquatch! Festival that I must tell you about. Last years Festival set the stage for a year of great memories and the need to “go back ... Read More

Wilco Summer 2012 US Tour Dates
Wilco is going on tour this summer. They are going to play with some great support acts like Blitzen Trapper, Lee Ranaldo and Dr. Dog. They will probably yell at you if you bring a camera, cause Jeff Tweedy hates that shit. This is why our founder Reverend Justito does go and see Wilco live. That and the fact he is still bummed about the whole Jay Bennett thing. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t go and check them ... Read More

Wilco Pays Conan O'Brien a Visit
We like Wilco. However Wilco does not like fans with cameras, something about ruining the experience. So it's rare that we go see the band live. Well that and the fact we are still not big enough to get a photo pass from Mr. Tweedy. Rev did write this back when Jay died. Anyways, let’s just get to the reason you came to this post, you want to watch Wilco rock the Warner Bros. lot in beautiful ... Read More

thenaturalstoner's Top 10 Shows of 2011
2011 was undoubtedly my finest concert going year on record (out of 31!). I saw over 80 bands, did several awesome road trips, brought in visitors from around the country to come to the Gorge Amphitheatre, and almost all my shows were at least ‘decent’. Obviously some rise to the top, and some fall to the bottom... so here is my list of best concerts of 2011.

When it was announced in May that My Morning Jacket would be playing at The Pageant, the feeling that immediately came to me was jubilation. This is a band that I had been dying to see since I first watched the Okonokos DVD and caught a glimpse of what a MMJ show was like. Only problem was, tickets went on sale while I was away at Wakarusa seeing My Morning Jacket. Luckily a friend that is ... Read More

Sasquatch! Festival – Monday 5/30/11 – The Gorge Amphitheatre
Review, pictures and video from thenaturalstoner
Monday morning was a little bittersweet. Of course we started with a morning drink, but Mr. Sparkly was already gone for a couple days and Phishbeard was unable to stay for one last blow out, so I rocked Monday at the Gorge solo. I had company from our neighbors of course, and the day turned out to be a total success. I got to meet an artist I really ... Read More

Sasquatch! Festival – Saturday 5/28/11 – The Gorge Amphitheatre
Review, pictures and video from thenaturalstoner and Phishbeard
Waking up on a Saturday at the Gorge Campground is about as great of a feeling as one can possibly imagine. If it weren’t for the hangover from the night before and a tent in shambles, I would have been feeling great! So of course as soon as I got up it was time for the Gorge breakfast of champions AKA whiskey and coke! Drinks were plentiful ... Read More

Sasquatch! Festival 2011 Preview
By thenaturalstoner
It’s hard to believe that out of over 100 bands performing at this years Sasquatch! Music Festival at the Gorge Amphitheatre, I have only seen two. I go to a lot of concerts, and like a lot of these bands, so it’s really freaking odd to me that I have only seen the Old 97’s (at an old Bumbershoot Festival in Seattle, approx. 10 years ago) and Sharon Jones, although I didn’t see her with the Dap-Kings, ... Unwritten Law w/ Authority Zero 04/19/11
The Complex - Salt Lake City, UT
Words/Photos by Meredeth
Well, I must say, being new here, this is one hell of a show to start off with. Authority Zero and Unwritten Law just came through Salt Lake City this week, and needless to say, they got our attention.
Authority Zero is an Arizona-based band, and this was my first encounter with them. The front man, Jason DeVore should charge for the clinic he put on in "bringing it". He ... Read More

Listen to Blitzen Trapper
Live at the 2010 Newport Folk Festival For Free
A little over two years ago, a network that was once known for playing music videos sent me out to a day long music festival at Universal Studios Hollywood. They had one mission for me – take as many photos of an up and coming band based out of Portland Oregon. That band was Blitzen Trapper. My initial reaction to the group was Bob Dylan backed by Modest Mouse covering Wilco.

Blitzen Trapper/Jenny Lewis/Ray LaMontagne w/ The Hollywood Bowl Orchestra
Hollywood Bowl: Los Angeles, CA 07/12/09
Words/Photos/Videos by Reverend Justito/concertconfessions.com
There are a million things I could write about the KCRW World Music Festival at the Hollywood Bowl (featuring Blitzen Trapper/Jenny Lewis & headliner Ray LaMontagne w/ The Hollywood Bowl Orchestra). I could write all about how it will be the last show I be able to walk to at the historic venue (as we are about to move across town from Hollywood closer to the ... Read More

Days before my 18th Birthday, my Mother took me to San Francisco for an event dubbed Sky Concert by local radio station KFOG. As mobility challenged Red Cross Volunteer, she needed my help to haul all of the supplies to and from the First Aid station she would run at the event. While I would like to say the reason that I agreed was to help my Mother, truthfully I went to check out an exciting new band I had recently discovered. The band was Wilco, ... Read More
