Music Midtown 2013 Announces Lineup

Enjoy as many festivals as you can this year, because ticket sales tell us that next year we’ll have a lot less of these things here in America.  This September 20th and 21st, Peidmont Park in Atlanta brings you a pretty solid lineup for Music Midtown 2013.

 Acts you care about include : Red Hot Chili Peppers, Queens of the Stone Age, Phoenix, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Arctic Monkeys, Kendrick Lamar, Weezer, Jane’s Addiction, Tegan & Sara, Cake, 2 Chainz, Imagine Dragons, Black Lips, Reignwolf, Capital Cities, North Mississippi Allstars, and Mona… and if you have bad taste in music, there’s always Journey.

Saturday June 22nd is when Tickets go on sale, and you can check out the full line up and stuff over at the festivals official website by clicking here. There’s a presale for Citi members  beginning Wednesday, that information is also at the website.

Lollapalooza Announces Full 2013 Lineup

Alight folks here we go. Lollapalooza 2013 has revealed it’s full lineup. We debated sharing the headliners with you when they broke a few weeks ago (  Phoenix, The Postal Service, The National, the Killers, Mumford & Sons and Vampire Weekend). We decided to wait for the full lineup, and it turned out alright.

In the artists we care about after giving the lineup a quick skim category we list these folks:

Sasquatch! Festival 2013 Lineup Announced

The Sasquatch! Festival 2013 lineup has just been announced at the official Announcement Party at the Neptune Theatre in Seattle. The four night party over Memorial Day Weekend at the Gorge Amphitheatre always promises to be a good time and this year looks to be no exception.

Cody ChesnuTT came out to start the night, the first artist confirmation of the Festival. After his short set came “surprise guests” Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, who confirmed their own Gorge set for May after performing Thrift Shop, Same Love and Can’t Hold Us.

Governors Ball 2013 Reveals Star Studded Lineup (And Lame Headliners)

Governor's Ball 2013 Updated

Every year New York City’s Randall’s Island hosts it’s annual Governors Ball and this afternoon the 2013 line up was was announced, and it’s not short on the large names. Headlining is our first adventure, which has slots slated for Kanye West,  Kings of Leon and a “mystery” headliner (See Update Below). In the “acts that don’t suck” category we have ourselves Nas, Dinosaur Jr.,  The Avett Brothers, Gary Clark Jr., Death From Above 1979, Japandroids, Of Monsters And Men, Young The Giant and Kendrick Lamar. Weirdo favorites Animal Collective also making an appearance, along with Dirty Projectors, Bloc Party, Yeasayer and Crystal Castles. Tickets are on sale Friday January 25th at Noon EST and you can get them at GovBall.Com. UPDATE AS OF 02/07:

The mystery third headliner was announced this morning and it’s non other than the band currently touring under the moniker of Guns N’ Roses. So it’s official folks, you now have THREE lame headliners for Randall’s Island this June.

2012 Heineken City Arts Festival Initial Lineup Announced

A day after they trade Ichiro Suzuki to the Yankees for almost nobody, Seattle is back in the news. With this writer’s favorite beer providing sponsorship, the initial lineup for the Heineken City Arts Festival was announced today, and it’s nothing short of awesome.

Headlining the bill are David Byrne & St. Vincent, Ghostland Observatory and Two Door Cinema Club.  The Festival madness begins at Seattle’s historic Fifth Avenue Theatre on October 17th. This festival will run through October 20th, and performances taking place in various clubs, halls, and venues throughout Seattle. Discounted all-access wristbands and individual tickets will go on sale August 2nd.
