David Byrne & St. Vincent on The Colbert Report
David Byrne and St Vincent (Annie) sat down for an Interview with Stephen Colbert on the Colbert Report Thursday Night. They discussed living in New York and dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, which includes their place having no power or water and having to travel to Brooklyn to take showers. Stephen actually brought up a good point when he offered them his backstage shower by saying “Let’s all three get in there set up a web cam and raise money for this thing!”. Seriously not the worst idea I’ve ever heard. Found it interesting that David Byrne decided to go with the little earpiece microphone thing for the interview. The duo them performed the song “Who”. Both the interview and performance can be viewed below courtesy of The Audio Perv.

Ben Folds Five Take Over The Colbert Report
A little over an hour ago, I tuned into the Colbert Report to check out some Ben Folds Five action. Love it when Stephen has the rare musical guest on, gives us the chance to get a song and an interview. Well isn’t it good to not have to load your DVR up with that stuff when you have us here to bring that to you? In the interview we find out things like how there’s only three of them, then we get a song called “Do It Anyway” Check it all out below courtesy of the Audio Perv

Ben Folds Five – “Do It Anyway”
Stephen Colbert sure as hell knows how to close out a week of cool performances, and that was with The Flaming Lips last night which ended the run of shows dubbed “StePhest Colbchella” 2012. As has been all week, there was an interview and a performance aired, with two web exclusives. If you want an indication of how cool this is, this writer called a cab to a Burger chain that shall remain nameless just to use their free internet connection to bring this to you. And because I was hungry. Anyway, below you can view the interview with Wayne Coyne, who is even more spaced out aboard the Intrepid, then performances of “Ashes In The Air”, “Do You Realize?”, and “Drug Chart”.

Colbchella Week Rolls On With Grizzly Bear
This week is “StePhest Colbchella Rocktaugustfest” week on the Colbert Report. Yesterday things got kicked off with indie oddities fun. Tonight, we roll on with a band from the same slums this writer used to call home, Brooklyn’s own Grizzly Bear. ColbertNation.Com is offering up online exclusives all week, so along with the big ups to The Audio Perv, we’d like to thank Colbert’s awesome website for making this easy for all of us who write for websites out there. All the videos can be seen below. Keep it here all week as we will have all of this for you barring unforeseeable circumstances. Enjoy the tunes!
fun. Kick Off Colbchella Week on The Colbert Report
Colbchella 2012 Week began last night on The Colbert Report with an interview and performance by the band fun. Now, if this was a month ago, you’d be reading something like “Yea so these weirdos stopped by the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum and played some gospel noise crap”-but this is not a month ago. New York City has alternative radio again, and this “Some Nights” is in heavy rotation along with “We Are Young” and have grown on me. Read a tweet last night searching for video and it said “Fun are on Colbert and they think people want to hear other songs besides “We Are Young”. Well, there we have it folks, a bigger asshole then me. Anyway, below you can watch the interview with the band, followed by the performances of “Some Nights”, “We Are Young” and “Carry On”. I’m telling you-this band gets cool after the 4th or 5th listen.
fun. “Some Nights”
This Just in: The band also filmed a performance of “We Are Young” which just popped up on Colbertnation.com, aren’t I glad I refreshed the page, also there’s an introduction of Colbchella video and “Carry On” is performed live as well. This “Carry On” song is pretty freaking cool, never heard it before.

fun. “Carry On”
Nas Stops By The Colbert Report
With all due respect to Nas (who rocked David Letterman’s late night TV bonanza earlier this week) instead of writing a few lines about his stop by The Colbert Report, I am just going to say fuck you Viacom. Even if I legally wanted to view this program tonight (as I often do) your bullshit battle in the name of greed against DirecTV prevents me from doing so. So fuck you for the first time in the history of this site I don’t feel an ounce of guilt for sharing content that does not belong to us.
Off my soap box now, enjoy Nas.
As always, nothing but love and respect to The Audio Perv for the videos.
Jack White Interviewed, Performed On Colbert Report
Hey here’s a surprise, Jack White made a television appearance.
Since announcement of his solo trek across the United States and Beyond, Mr. White has been all over television, so much so that’s is starting to leave some of us bored with it already… But in all seriousness, no matter what side of the fence you fall on: The “I Heart Jack White” side, or the “I’m so damn sick of Jack White already I want to puke with his same guitar tone on every riff” side, we can all agree on something. And that’s the fact that Stephen Colbert having musical guests on his show, is nothing short of awesome. We hope he does in more.
Anyway, below is video from White’s performance of “Freedom At 21′. Then under that we have the interview portion of the show. Check it out:

Dan Auerbach - The Black Keys - 6/10/10 STL
Since tracks from El Camino
, the lastest record from The Black Keys,
began to be streamed along the strings of the Interwebs over the past week; this writer’s Twitter Feed
has been filled with infinite praising from all the notable online music publications.
Not hearing the record yet, I was excited to hear that the no frills, hard rockin’ trio was headed to a spot on Stephen Colbert’s show The Colbert Report on Comedy Central. We have all the footage from their appearance for your enjoyment below.
