Jay-Z Set To Curate Made In America Music Festival

Jay-Z has a lot of stuff. He has a basketball team, he has 99 Problems, an album with Kanye West and of course a baby with Beyonce. Now Jay-Z has a music festival.  This two day music event will take place in Philadelphia on September 1st and 2nd and will feature a diverse lineup spread across three stages. Some of the highlights include D’Angelo, Dirty Projectors and Pearl Jam. It will be known as the Made in America Music Festival and will take place at Benjamin Franklin’s Parkway in Fairmount Park. Last time I heard anything from the Hives was that “Hate to Say I Told You So” song that showed up on my Meat Puppets Pandora Internet Radio station.  That song was pretty cool.  Still waiting on that second hit from the band(How will they ever become The Strokes if they only have ONE good song?)

Refused Announce 2012 North American Tour Dates

Refused Announce 2012 North American Tour Dates

You don’t need us to tell you that zombies are all the rage. Perhaps the most impressive group of zombies are Refused. Many were shocked when the “dead” band announced they were reforming to perform at the 2012 Coachella Music Festival. Now the group have announced details for a brief summer tour of the United States. Focused mainly on the east coast, the 13 day trek is currently scheduled to kick off July 15th in Atlanta and will wrap July 26th in Chicago. These dates come on top of the bands plans for a brief west coast tour next month that includes stops in Pomona, San Francisco and New York in addition to Coachella. One final note – the Keith Morris lead punk outfit OFF! will provide support for the bands July dates.

Kasabian, Refused, At The Drive-In and Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg – oh my. The 2012 Coachella lineup is out and it’s epic like elephant titties. Tickets go on sale Friday January 13th 2012 at 10 am PST via coachella.com We hope to see you in the desert in April.

Both weekends of Coachella 2012 sold out in less than three hours. Our man Reverend Justito has purchased tickets for the first weekend. If you are heading out to Indio, leave us a comment. Maybe he will buy you a beer.
