Firefly Music Festival Reveals Massive 2014 Lineup

For the third year in a row, Firefly Music Festival in Delaware is delivering another stellar lineup. Arctic Monkeys, Foo Fighters and Outkast lead the big names while Cage the Elephant, Weezer, Childish Gambino, Jack Johnson, Sleigh Bells, Young The Giant, Girl Talk, Chance The Rapper, Local Natives, Portugal. The Man, The Lumineers, Kaiser Chiefs, Grouplove and Pretty Lights round out the list of acts you may have heard of off the top of our heads looking at the list of over 100 acts.

Firefly throws a curve ball  in it’s forth year by adding a fourth-day to it. The new format leaves our Homer Simpson four day weekend taking place June 19th – 22nd at Dover International Speedway in Dover, Delaware. Tickets will be available through the festival’s website.

After a successful first year in 2012, Firefly Music Festival will return to Delaware this June.

Inaugural Shaky Knees Music Festival Unveils Stellar Lineup

Shaky Knees Music festival

This May, Atlanta will be host to a brand new music festival. Dubbed  ‘Shaky Knees Music Festival’, the festivities will all be going down in  Masquerade Music Park and the Historic Fourth Ward Park this May 4th and 5th . It’s a two-day swing, and the  festival features 28 bands spanning over three outdoor stages. Word around the water cooler is that local food trucks, artisans and vendors will also be available.

The lineup for Shaky Knees includes everything from up-and-comers The Orwells to “Best New Artist” Grammy nominees The Lumineers, with an eclectic lineup that includes Band of Horses, Jim James, (here’s a shocker) Gary Clark Jr., Welsh rockers the Joy Formidable, Kurt Vile & the Violators and more. Curated by longtime Atlanta promoter Tim Sweetwood, the fest offers live music fans two days of music in an urban outdoor setting.

The Sasquatch! Festival 2013 lineup has just been announced at the official Announcement Party at the Neptune Theatre in Seattle. The four night party over Memorial Day Weekend at the Gorge Amphitheatre always promises to be a good time and this year looks to be no exception.

Cody ChesnuTT came out to start the night, the first artist confirmation of the Festival. After his short set came “surprise guests” Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, who confirmed their own Gorge set for May after performing Thrift Shop, Same Love and Can’t Hold Us.

Governors Ball 2013 Reveals Star Studded Lineup (And Lame Headliners)

Governor's Ball 2013 Updated

Every year New York City’s Randall’s Island hosts it’s annual Governors Ball and this afternoon the 2013 line up was was announced, and it’s not short on the large names. Headlining is our first adventure, which has slots slated for Kanye West,  Kings of Leon and a “mystery” headliner (See Update Below). In the “acts that don’t suck” category we have ourselves Nas, Dinosaur Jr.,  The Avett Brothers, Gary Clark Jr., Death From Above 1979, Japandroids, Of Monsters And Men, Young The Giant and Kendrick Lamar. Weirdo favorites Animal Collective also making an appearance, along with Dirty Projectors, Bloc Party, Yeasayer and Crystal Castles. Tickets are on sale Friday January 25th at Noon EST and you can get them at GovBall.Com. The mystery third headliner was announced this morning and it’s non other than the band currently touring under the moniker of Guns N’ Roses. So it’s official folks, you now have THREE lame headliners for Randall’s Island this June.

If you switched over to NBC last night to watch the Tonight Show with Satan  Jay Leno, then chances are if you didn’t pass out from lame humor, you caught Colorado folk rockers The Lumineers towards the end of the broadcast. I know what you probably were thinking: “Why are there leave-less trees on stage in the middle of summertime.. indoors?”. You said it not I. The Austin City Limits 2012 Line Up Released

So to save some time, we’ll tell you who’s playing at Austin City Limits in one word: EVERYBODY. Every single act(besides Jay-Z and Pearl Jam.. so far at least) is on this list. From headliners Red Hot Chili Peppers, Neil Young & Crazy Horse, The Black Keys and Jack White to Iggy and The Stooges(in which Mike Watt Plays Bass) and Florence + The Machine. Weezer has come out of hiding for this one as well. Childish Gambino continues to take over the world with an appearance, and Gotye plays that song that everybody used to know.(see what I did there?)

Initial Artists Announced for the 2012 High Sierra Music Festival

The initial artist announcement for the 22nd annual High Sierra Music Festival has been announced. The event will once again be held at the Plumas-Sierra County Fairgrounds in Quincy California from July 5th through July 8th. Some of the highlights of this long running festival include Ben Harper, Railroad Earth and STS9. Hangout Festival Returns to Gulf Shores for 2012 with Stellar Lineup!

What: Hangout Music Festival 2012

Where: Gulf Shores, Alabama

When: May 18 – 20

Why:  Hangout 2011 featured a diverse lineup including Paul Simon, The Foo Fighters, Primus, The Black Keys, Girl Talk, Avett Brothers, Widespread Panic, and The Flaming Lips.

Well the folks planning the only festival featuring white sandy beaches and palm trees out there have done it again with a fantastic early 2012 lineup coming out in waves via Facebook this evening.
