Lineup for Fun Fun Fun Fest 2013 Revealed

Fun Fun Fun Fest comes back strong this year. Bands like Television (!), MGMT, and Both Black Flag and FLAG are just the tip of the iceberg hitting Auditorium Shores this November 8-10th in Austin, TX. Other notables include Kurt Vile, Thurston Moore’s Chelsea Light Moving, The Dismemberment Plan, Death Grips , Kathleen Hanna’s the Julie Ruin,Johnny Marr, Snoop Dogg, Slayer, Lupe Fiasco, and many many more.

 

This year’s festival plans on featuring expanded comedy and action sports sections, which they’ll tell us about on August 3 at the FFF Aqua Olympics in Austin. Lineup For MusicFestNW 2013 Unveiled

In case you haven’t notice, Portland is the new capital of “Cool” here in good ol’ America. They’re organic and they have Portlandia. So when the lineup to MusicFestNW 2013 was announced earlier today and contained Fred Armisen, nobody was surprised.  During September 3rd through 8th of this year Portland will get to see acts like GodSpeed You! Black Emperor, The Joy Formidable, Bob Mould, Titus Andronicus , Young The Giant, P.O.S., Diplo, Superchunk, Animal Collective and way more. There’s a Festival Called “Free Press Summer Fest” that’s going to go down this year at Eleanor Tinsley Park in Houston, Texas June 1st – 2nd, has just released it’s 2013 lineup.

The upper tier names on the bill are The Postal Service, Iggy And The Stooges (Featuring Mike Watt on Bass) and TV On The Radio but the undercard isn’t bad either. Bands that don’t suck on the lower half of the bill include Arctic Monkeys, Japandroids, Of Monsters Of Men, Baroness, Social D, The Bronx , Grace Potter And The Nocturnals and added as of hours ago, UME. Hell you could even catch 2 Chainz if that floats your boat. FYF Fest 2012 Returns To L.A. State Historic Park Labor Day Weekend

We called it last week when we assumed Refused would headline FYF Fest 2012. The festival returns to the L.A. Historic State Park with arguably the best lineup yet. Other highlights include a reunited Quicksand as well as Concert Confessions favorites Sleigh Bells, Dinosaur Jr., Baroness, Against Me! and Warpaint.
