Enjoy as many festivals as you can this year, because ticket sales tell us that next year we’ll have a lot less of these things here in America. This September 20th and 21st, Peidmont Park in Atlanta brings you a pretty solid lineup for Music Midtown 2013.
Acts you care about include : Red Hot Chili Peppers, Queens of the Stone Age, Phoenix,Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Arctic Monkeys,Kendrick Lamar, Weezer, Jane’s Addiction,Tegan & Sara, Cake,2 Chainz, Imagine Dragons, Black Lips, Reignwolf,Capital Cities,North Mississippi Allstars, and Mona… and if you have bad taste in music, there’s always Journey.

San Francisco decided to jump into the festival mix early Tuesday, when the lineup for the sixth annual Outside Lands Music And Arts Festival was announced. Sir Paul McCartney will headline along side Nine Inch Nails and the Red Hot Chili Peppers the weekend of August 9th through the 11th at Golden Gate Park. Other notable acts include Phoenix, Willie Nelson,Kurt Vile and The Violators, Gary Clark Jr (shocker), Young The Giant, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Band Of Horses, Fishbone and Grizzly Bear.
No word on if Grohl, Novoselic and Smear make an appearance during McCartney’s set for some “Cut Me Some Slack” action. Three-day passes start at $235 but go up based on availability to $249.50. Returning to Brooklyn taking place in Prospect Park May 17th through the 19th will be The Great GoogaMooga Festival. And the price is right: the Saturday and Sunday of this event can easily cost you Zero dollars if you choose to register between April 1st and 3rd with winners being selected on April 10th. You get to rock out to acts like The Darkness, The Flaming Lips, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Sharon Van Etten, Matt & Kim and many many more. There’s a good chance pending selection that this very writer may get himself over there to see some of that sweet action.
