Hello everyone, my name is Justin (aka Justito) thanks for checking out my page – Tales From The Pit. In 1994 I lied to my parents and went to Lollapalooza 1994. It was a life changing experience, and truly where my addiction to live music began. The venue was just a few miles away from where Apple, Google and Yahoo all got their starts. In the 15 years since that concert a lot has changed in our world. It was not possible for me to share my experience with you the next day that summer. However, in 2009 with blogs, social networks, digital cameras and a little effort we can share our tales within hours of the last power chord being struck on stage. As I started to blog my own concert reviews I realized how much fun it was to play rock journalist, and realized a very important fact. The fan will always write a better concert review than the reporter who is simply doing their job. The goal of this website is to create a legion of like minded individuals. Those who share the same addictions as me, the joy of seeing live music and then sharing it with the world. It does not matter if you are a poor writer or took a shot of the action with your blurry cell phone. I don’t care if you write about a band I hate (hell, I posted an Eagles review) local bands or even your own band. The only thing I will not tolerate is hate speech (racism/sexism you get the idea) and anyone who is negative/rude/hateful against fans who share their reviews. I simply want to form a community of live music fans. No matter your style or skill all are encouraged and welcome to share their Tales From The Pit.
