I have been a fan of Machine Head since before the " Burning Red " album was released. That CD release show was one of the first shows I have ever attended at Pop's Concert and Nightclub in beautiful, sunny Sauget, IL. Its hard to believe its been over 10 years since that day or summer. A lot has changed, new albums, new haircuts, new groupies and a lot has stayed the same. Hard fucking music brought to you as only Machine ... Read More

After 15 years straight of playing large venues such as amplitheatres , arenas and race car tracks. Kid Rock and the respective Twisted Brown Trucker Band came back to revisit the club days.
They haven't played clubs since 1999 and it was exciting to be able to buy general admission floor tickets for one of the best venues in the midwest. The Midland Theater right next to the Power And Light District of Kansas City, Missouri.
Day of show the biggest Kid ... Read More

I have to start this by saying thank you Firebird for hosting so many great shows in the past few years. If you wanna watch people become stars, this is a great place to do that.
With all genres of music at The Firebird each day, I often check their website for new listings. While searching last week, I noticed a fimilar name : Hopsin was coming to rock. Oddly enough it was a early show that was scheduled to start at 5 ... Read More

2011 was a year of many ups and downs and a lot of very unique and diverse shows of which I feel lucky and blessed to partaked in. And hey, nobody died this year. So moving on to number 10.
Number 10: Prof, 08/17/11 The Pageant, Saint Louis, Mo
Prof had impressed me quite a bit the early part of 2011 with a strong performance and a free cd that didn't suck. A few months later he was back opening for Atmosphere, Evidence, and ... Read More

Even if you don't think you do, you already know who Killer Mike is. He has been in the game since his debut on Outkast's 2000 release " Stankonia " and has yet to slow down. Most recently on the new single featuring T.I " Ready Set Go " . He has been in atleast 3 movies, including ATL and Idlewild.
Needless to say he has been and stayed busy the past 11 years. So when my friend Curtis called and said Killer ... Read More

Today I woke up, ate a quick bite and headed down to the Historic Delmar Loop. The Delmar Loop is a great street of shops, restaurants, books and record shops. It's also boast the St. Louis Walk Of Fame and various other gems that makes my city great.
Well today they added another attraction to the already impressive list. They added a statue honoring the great Rock and Roll icon Chuck Berry. Now and forever sitting across the street from Blueberry Hill is ... Read More

I can trace listening to Kid Rock to the era of the playstation. The orginal, grey old school playstation. I still remember playing the game " Cool Boarders II " when I first heard " Devil Without A Cause ". My friends and I had known about Kid Rock long before that. We were very much into Detroit's rap and underground acts and at one time Kid Rock was both.
Then there is one of my favorite concert friends. He ... Read More

Since I was a kid I have been familiar with The Steve Miller Band. I still have vivid memories of my brother Tom playing their music for me many times. When I got older and heard his music it would remind me of great childhood memories.
As time went on I aqquired Cds and knew all the songs. I really wanted to see the band live. After waiting a few years I saw them 3 times over one summer at various festivals ... Read More

Isn't it funny when you remember exactly where you were and who you were with when you first heard something? Well with Lil Wyte I remember exactly. It was my buddy Curtis, his Friend Jimmy and Me, hanging in Jimmy's basement playing playstation. Curtis had the habit of buying new cd's every Tuesday. We were all big fan's of 3 6 Mafia and on March 4th, 2003 Curtis's purchase of the week was Lil Wyte " Doubt Me Now ". We sat ... Read More

I first heard about Curren$y a few years back in some Hip Hop magazine. Did a few youtube searches and got schooled. Curren$y is a busy man.
First signed to Master P's No Limit Records as part of the 504 boys in 2002. The New Orleans native wasted no time after appearing on Master P's " Good Side Bad Side " album Curren$y packed up shop and left No Limit. Next stop Cash Money Records under Lil Wayne's label Young Money Records. Soon ... Read More

PROF? Who? Yeah, I said the same thing when asked had I heard of him. Turns out I was asleep and he has been on the grind for quite a while. Most recently touring with Atmosphere. He also hails from Minneapolis, MN.
I was at home planning a crazy night for myself when the phone rang. It was my buddy Curtis, he asked me if I had heard of Prof? I said, I hadn't but I ... Read More

Bad Religion/Rise Against 05/10/11
Pop's Outdoors - Sauget, IL
Words/Photos by BeeZnutZ
I love outdoor shows. They remind me of summer days spent outside seeing some of my favorite bands with good friends. When Rise Against announced they would be touring with Bad Religion I was sold. Even better the venue Pop's 24/7 in Sauget, IL was hosting the show outside, in the parking lot in between two nightclubs.
The morning of the show was gloomy, rainy and anything but exceptional weather for an outdoor event. ... Read More

Unexpected! That is a good word to describe how it was to make sudden plans to head to Vintage Vinyl to meet Wayne Coyne of The Flaming Lips. He is currently on tour and was in St. Louis on the way to Detroit. The tour bus driver needed to rest so they picked to spend the day in St. Louis and made the most of it.
I hurried in getting ready and rushed out the door to Vintage Vinyl. We are blessed in ... Read More

Last time Social Distortion came to town was a few years ago. I went on advice of a friend and had a great time. When they announced the Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes tour I didn't think I could go.
Somehow I got the night off work. I love it when the venues post the set times on the website. Unlike most nights I really did not want to go see a show. However I hopped in the car and headed ... Read More

I remember being on facebook, bored. When I got the notification that I had been invited to see my buddy's band open for none other that REEL BIG FISH and it was FREE! After spending 40 plus dollars to go see RBF only months prior I was in.
Only one problem, I was supposed to be at work. A little sweet talk and shift switching later. I had the entire saturday off. That left me with the entire day to go see Reel ... Read More

After catching her twice the previous year. I made a little trek across the state to see her at a venue I had not been to for 8 years. She did not disappoint.

The Pageant - St. Louis, MO

It has almost been 10 years since I have been going to Reel Big Fish Shows. I went on a fateful road trip I believe in 2001 to see Goldfinger, Reel Big Fish, and many others. It was another great birthday road trip.
I have seen Reel Big Fish about 5-6 times since then. Mostly at festivals or warped tours over the years. I had not had the chance to see a ... Read More

Hole 07/13/10
The Pagent - St. Louis, MO
Videos by BeeZnutZ
Our main man in the Midwest - BeeZnutZ went to check out the walking freak show known as Courtney Love and her re-united Hole. Having not one, but two reports from the East Coast, and having one over Concert Confessions founder/spiritual guru Reverend Justito out West - we figure it's only fair that the Midwest gets their moment with everyone’s favorite Golden Globe Nominee/former Junkie.
