On the same evening that New York Jets Running Back Curtis Martin get's elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, can you believe that's only the second best thing that happened today? Well, The 64th installment of the Jay Pork Never Ending Concert Series may have had something to do with that. Tonight brings us to Irving Plaza in NYC for an epic evening with The Darkness! Along with Foxy Shazam (Which 'thenaturalstoner' praises for their latest stellar release), and I ... Read More

Remember when Jay-Z and Nas staged that Rap war that took the whole Hip Hop world by storm? Yea, this is far from those days.
Every time you look at a festival bill, you always see Nas listed performing with Damian Marley. Whether he has a deep love for being on tour, or it has something to do with that money he owes in back taxes-you'll probably have your chance to see him in your town in the near future.
And for the ... Read More

Whoa, wait a second. You're telling me if I had been lazy and chose not to dig all the way to the bottom of my email from the 'Bowery Presents' I wouldn't have seen that Local H show listed at the Mercury Lounge in NYC? One of my favorite bands who kills it every time they come to my town, whether it's Gramercy Theater or Mercury Lounge was that close to passing me by. No way. Especially when ... Read More

On Monday, St. Vincent stopped by Conan on a night where Kate Beckinsale's hotness almost blew up my television. Another artist that will be at Coachella 2012 they were introduced and strummed a few chords of an Elvis Costello-ish sounding tune. Then, just when it's about to break Annie Erin Clark waves her hands in the air demanding the band stop. She then says into the mic "I'm sorry ladies and gentleman, there is no ... Read More

The War On Drugs Invade Late Night With Jimmy Fallon
In a world where you can't quite keep up with every band, you try to at least keep up with the ones that have really cool names. That was the case last night when this writer tuned into Jimmy Fallon last night to catch The War On Drugs play a song called "Baby Missiles".
With two keyboardists, some strumming of guitar with a harmonica and ?uestlove helping out as a second drummer, the above ... Read More

Jane's Addiction Announce Tour W/ Black Box Revelation
In non-Coachella and non-Radiohead related news, Jane's Addiction has announced some 2012 tour dates as well. In support of their latest effort "The Great Escape Artist", the band will hit 18 cities, bringing along The Black Box Revelation as support (who have been opening for all your favorite cool bands like The Meat Puppets and Beady Eye)
"Starting February 22, this special run of North American shows—called “Theatre of the Escapists”--will bring the band to intimate ... Read More

Everybody, it's time to set your time machines back to the 1980's, because Van Halen has kissed and made up with David Lee Roth, and will be hitting the road for a North American Tour that begins Feb 14th in Louisville, KY.
Even though there's a million other things we'd rather be doing here this morning at Concert Confessions (personally, this writer would rather be breastfed by a post-op transsexual), it's big news none the less. You ... Read More

Chris Cornell on the Songbook tour this past year was fun time for a few of us here at Concert Confessions. Back on this writer's birthday, Chris Cornell was set to make an appearance on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. For reasons not made public, (possibly concerning Presidential Psychopath's Ron Paul's guest spot on that same Dec 16th show), the date was moved back to Jan 5th.
So last night, America collectively sat and tuned in(me WITH Ice Cream) to ... Read More

As 2011 reaches a close, we take a look back at the year in concerts. In volume, I probably attend the least amount of total shows per year if you pool all of the contributors here at Concert Confessions. But never the less, by years end I will have reached 23 concerts, eclipsing last years total of 20. My only personal goal is to always get out to more shows then the year before. We did that in 2011, and here's hoping ... Read More

Tis the season for giving, and if you're this writer, receiving. When given the opportunity to be bought into Phish tonight for their first of a 4 night New Years Eve at Madison Square Garden, how could I pass it up? Before anything goes further we must slurp the Revered Justito, who gifts me with this ticket to the show tonight (and note that his holiday gift is to be mailed shortly), gifts me with the chance to see Phish. I've heard ... Read More

The 62nd Edition of the Jay Porks Never Ending Concert Series is a special one indeed for a couple of reasons. One, we're heading out to the Bowery Electric (Joey Ramone Pl & 3rd St) down in the East Village for a charity event benefiting the Toys for Tots Foundation( ) featuring the musical styling of Joseph Arthur (and opener James Maddock). Never a bad thing to gain some good karma. Second reason this is special, it's because I've officially taken a ... Read More

As the Gallagher brothers tour the U.S. and world in separate bands hitting (or having already hit) a town near you-you must admit other than providing epic quotes for internet bloggers like myself to use, when together Oasis is a great band who played great music.
As Liam Gallagher tours with Beady Eye, a band that is essentially the rest of Oasis, Noel Gallagher tours with his own band-Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.

Since tracks from El Camino , the lastest record from The Black Keys, began to be streamed along the strings of the Interwebs over the past week; this writer's Twitter Feed has been filled with infinite praising from all the notable online music publications.

This writer is one of the few for Concert Confessions who is undoubtedly late to the Ryan Adams party, but am joining it none the less. Yelawolf Rocks Conan 12/05/11
And with the Crimson Tide being put in the BCS National Championship game earlier this week, it was only fitting Alabama's own Yelawolf came on Conan Monday night with a song called "Let's Roll".
The latest prodigy out of Eminem's Shady Records camp came on stage with full band, including Travis Barker (of Blink 182 fame) on drums and a back up singer that looked exactly like Cee-Lo Green. Rocking the crimson red tee shirt with the Alabama "A" on ... Read More

Some things are just too fun to stop-which seems to be the case with Elvis Costello & the Imposters with The “Spectacular Spinning Songbook” themed tour. Trouncing through several cities over the course of 2011, Spring 2012 brings the wheel of hits back out to (at least) 7 more lucky venues.

The band currently touring under the moniker of Guns N' Roses hits the Izod Center at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in Dirty Jersey tonight for the 61st edition of the Jay Porks Never Ending Concert Series. Happy HalloWEEN!! The greatest night to walk around in New York City-people in costumes everywhere; Lions and tigers and bears oh my. And most importantly, the female version of every Halloween costume-something straight out of the Victoria's Secret catalog. Wasn't a hard decision at all to make the 58th edition of the Jay Porks Never Ending concert series “An Evening with Ween” at Manhattan Center's Hammerstein Ballroom. The “An Evening” billing means there are no openers for me to offend, so it's ... Read More
