Kasabian 07/03/10
Heineken Open'er Festival - Gdynia, Poland
Words by Reverend Justito/concertconfessions.com
When one does a simple Google search of “Kasabian North America” the first two WebPages that pop up are Concert Confessions creations (Please join our Facebook group). I am pretty sure on a personal level I have done more work getting Kasabian on So-Cal radio juggernaut KROQ then the bands US label has. To be honest, I fear the band may not even have a US label at this point. So while Kasabian may not be ... Read More

String Cheese Incident at Horning’s Hideout in North Plains, OR
7/29-8/1 2010 Part 2 (Saturday and Sunday)
Link to Horning's Hideout Review Part 1
Review and pictures by Phishbeard
Saturday started off slow as a sloth on heroin. Fortunately, mother nature gave all campers a break by allowing everyone to bask in the overcast. It was pleasant to be in the shade for once and the temperature was perfect! This was definitely a blessing for all those people who partied hard the night before and for ... Read More

String Cheese Incident at Horning’s Hideout in North Plains, OR
7/29-8/1 2010 Part 1 (Thursday and Friday)
Review and pictures by Phishbeard
First off I would like to apologize to my fans for the tardiness of this concert review, but I have had a busy month of concerts and weddings. Multitasking has never been a forte of mine. I am sorry that I don’t have as many pictures as I should have and that they are not of super quality, but I am in the ... Read More

Listen to Blitzen Trapper
Live at the 2010 Newport Folk Festival For Free
A little over two years ago, a network that was once known for playing music videos sent me out to a day long music festival at Universal Studios Hollywood. They had one mission for me – take as many photos of an up and coming band based out of Portland Oregon. That band was Blitzen Trapper. My initial reaction to the group was Bob Dylan backed by Modest Mouse covering Wilco.

KROCKATHON 15
Infield @ NY Fairgrounds - Syracuse NY
Words/Photos by Milktruck/concertconfessions.com
The 15th annual KROCKATHON was held Saturday July 31st It was a great day of music. Having never heard of Halestorm before, they were the biggest surprise. Their singer has such a powerful voice.
The main reason I attended the show was for Limp Bizkit. It was just like the old days, the band sounded great. So great, that the second front man Fred Durst asked all the ladies to join the band on ... Read More

The Cool Tour 2010
07/31/10 - Palladium: Hollywood, CA
Words/Photos/Videos by Reverend Justito/concertconfessions.com
A major reason I started concertconfessions.com was my disgust of journalists from major media outlets. I hated old and out of touch professionals who were paid to see a show, only to trash and miss-represent an artist due to their failure to connect. Not knowing over half the bands on the inaugural Cool Tour, I was hesitant to accept an offer for a free ticket/full access press credential. Fearful of becoming everything ... Read More

Axl Rose vs. 500,000 Bikers: G'n'R Set To Headline Rock 'N Rev
Rock ‘N Rev – the festival that was rumored to be cancelled just weeks ago has perhaps pulled off the headlining coup of the summer. That is of course if you like headliners who are 1/5th the band they used to be.
With an already impressive lineup of red state rock bands (Godsmack, Three Doors Down, Creed) coming to Sturgis to play for a bunch mad men (and women) on motorcycles, the ... Read More

The 2010 Vans Warped Tour
07/17/10 - Nassau Coliseum Parking Lot - Long Island, NY
Words/Photos/Videos by melorocker
This 2010 edition of the traveling Warped tour seems scaled back from previous years. i have been to 2 other warped shows that were at near or at full capacity. Nassau Coliseum holds up to seven thousand people when a concert is held indoors, but at the parking lot it could be trickier to come up with a figure. i felt that it was not the usual numbers ... Joan Jett and the Blackhearts
Rockin' On The River - Clarkston, WA
Words/Photos by thenaturalstoner
From all accounts Clarkston, Washingtons annual Rockin' on the River, this year headlined by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, was a hugely intoxicated day of classic rock and roll. Rocking the LC Valley with all her hits including "I Love Rock and Roll", "Crimson and Clover", "Bad Reputation", and a fun version of The Replacements "Androgynous", Jett showed Clarkston, Washington a real good (albeit kinda weird) time.

It breaks my heart to report that 10 dates of the recently revived Rockstar Energy Drink Lilith Fair (oh wait, I am sorry, Rockstar does not sponsor Lilith, that’s Mayhem) have been cancelled. I could attempt to write some jokes (like the failed Rockstar Energy Drink one you just read), or I could let Mr. Johnny Firecloud from Antiquiet.com share his thoughts on the once ground breaking chick-fest.
Oh, and for the record, my personal take is that folks are sick of seeing ... Read More

Words/Photos/Videos by Reverend Justito/concertconfessions.com
Over the past few days here at concertconfessions.com, we have discussed various styles of music found at the Warped Tour. We discovered new music, we had a heavy metal showcase and we even gave 3OH!3 their own review. For our final look at the 2010 Vans Warped Tour stop in Ventura , CA we want to cover the roots of the tour by taking a look at the “Legends” of Punk ... Read More

Vans Warped Tour 2010
06/27/10 - Seaside Park - Ventura, CA
Words/Photos & Videos by Reverend Justito/concertconfessions.com
When it comes to Warped Tour, as great as it is to seek out new and exciting sounds, the main reason I hit the event is for heavy music. Be it punk or metal I attend North America’s longest running festival tour (now in it’s 16th year) for the release from these oh so soothing sounds. So let’s discuss some of the metal that went down at Seaside ... Read More

06/27/10 Vans Warped Tour - Ventura, CA
Words/Photos/Videos by Reverend Justito/concertconfessions.com
With not much going on between Against Me! and Reel Big Fish at the 2008 Vans Warped Tour, I wandered around Seaside Park in Ventura, CA looking for some punk rock. While I failed to find some punk (or eve ska) I did manage to discover two crusty Colorado punks pondering how to make love to the innocent without leaving behind finger prints. Within seconds, I was hooked on 3OH!3 and ended up ... Read More

Clearly, I should have spent the weekend in Luxembourg instead of Ventura. Somewhere in that pint-sized nation was an event called the Rock-A-Field Festival. Not only did it feature the #1 band Concert Confessions would like to see play in America again, but those lucky Luxembourgers (is that a real word? Fuck it – it is now) were treated to Lil Miss Hayley Williams of Paramore rocking “Passenger” with Deftones.
Sure, she may not be Maynard, but she has a much nice set of ... Read More

I knew Los Angeles had a ton of dipshits. Little did I know that so many of them would flock to the crime infested shithole know as the Los Angeles Coliseum for two days of craptastic electronic jams (and Deadmau5, who I like because he has a cool head). While you couldn't pay me to be within 10,000 feet of this event, the truly wonderful Johnny Firecloud of Antiquiet.com fame did attend the event and has blessed us to share his thoughts ... 2010 Vans Warped Tour
Seaside Park - Ventura, CA
Words/Photos/Videos by Reverend Justito/concertconfessions.com
I have always said that a good festival is much like a good buffet. Load up on what you love, avoid what you hate and perhaps sample something new? But what happens when you get to the buffet and discover while a few of your favorites are there, you have no idea what 89.3% of the menu is? Well in the case of the buffet known as the 2010 Vans Warped Tour ... Read More

Hailing from Palm Desert, CA – KYUSS was without a doubt one of the all time great Desert/Stoner/Groove rock outfits. This past weekend at Hellfest in Clisson, France 3/4th of the band reunited and rocked the massive festival. While Queens of the Stone Age/Eagles of Death Metal/Them Crooked Vultures axe slinger Josh Homme was noticeably missing, drummer Brant Bjork & bassist Nick Oliveri joined singer John Garcia during his set. Garcia is currently performing through Europe under the billing GARCIA PLAYS KYUSS.

I just got wind that video of The Big Four (Anthrax, Megadeth, Slayer & Metallica) jamming together in Sofia, Bulgaria has surfaced on YouTube. Currently performing on the Euro Summer Festival circuit, the four legends of trash came together earlier today to perform the Diamond Head classic “Am I Evil?”
There are no confirmed dates for The Big Four in North America at this time.

That's right everyone - for one night only the heavy metal puppet is going to have an Ozzfest at the O2 Arena in London, England.
