Silversun Pickups Serve Up 'Bloody Mary' For Jimmy Kimmel
As yes there I was last night getting into bed after watching my beloved San Francisco Giants defeat the dreaded Los Angeles Dodgers out at Chavez Latrine. The television was already on and there was Johnny Depp plugging the new Warner Bros. Pictures smash hit Dark Shadows. I enjoyed his brief talk with Jimmy Kimmel Live host Jimmy Kimmel about him and Hunter S. Thompson sabotaging Don Johnson. Then I fell asleep before Silversun ... Read More

Roger Daltrey Pays Jimmy Kimmel A Visit
Yesterday we told you about how my Mother-in-law would be stoked because Leonard Cohen was dragging his old ass across North America once again. Today, we make my mother happy by sharing with you the footage of another old timer. Roger Daltrey stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live last night to not only have a chat with the former Man Show host, but to play a song for him as well. The jet lagged rocker with the ... Read More

The Hives Perform On Jimmy Kimmel
Last time I heard anything from the Hives was that "Hate to Say I Told You So" song that showed up on my Meat Puppets Pandora Internet Radio station. That song was pretty cool. Still waiting on that second hit from the band(How will they ever become The Strokes if they only have ONE good song?)
Anyway, below is video of the Hives on Jimmy Kimmel last night playing a song called "Wait A Minute" and underneath that ... Read More

Kasabian 04/19/12
Bud Lite Concert Stage at Jimmy Kimmel Live - Hollywood, CA
Words/Photos by Reverend Justitio
There is a line from the Kasabian song “Days Are Forgotten” that has been running through my head since I awoke this morning. Perhaps this line is here because I heard the band sound check the song no less than six times yesterday; perhaps it is there because of a deeper meaning? Hell, it is possible it is there for both reasons. The line is as follows:
“Cos I’m ... Read More

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds Land On Jimmy Kimmel Live
You know we love Noel Gallagher here at Concert Confessions. From his immaculate performance last fall at UCLA to his rocking main stage set at Coachella last Saturday the man can do no wrong in our eyes. Last night (04/16/12) Gallagher and his High Flying Birds descended upon Hollywood Blvd for a taping of Jimmy Kimmel Live. The former Oasis member rocked Kimmel’s smaller indoor stage and you can watch both “AKA…What A ... Read More

Slash Takes Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators To Kimmel
Last year, Slash went all "Carlos Santana" on us, and released his first solo album, with exclusively guest singers.
May 22nd of this year is the set date for the release of "Apocalyptic Love" and you'd think "Wow, cool new Slash solo record".. Except for one thing: Myles Kennedy will be the resident lead vocalist on this album, and on the road they're touring as 'Slash With Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators' (I guess the ... Read More

Travis Barker Joins Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem for Jimmy Kimmel Live
It’s hard to argue that there is no brighter spot on late night talk shows for live music than Jimmy Kimmel Live. Last night (03/21/12) the former Man Show host once again set the bar high with a smoking performance from Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem with special guest Travis Barker. Promoting the home video release of The Muppets, Dr. Teeth and company went to town on the ... Read More

The Joy Formidable Rock Jimmy Kimmel Live
There I was in bed again last night (shocking I know). MLB Network once again was blacked out so I found myself watching my late night back up Jimmy Kimmel Live. Having enjoyed Jonah Hill promoting 21 Jump Street the night before (only to fall asleep before The Crystal Method rocked with Martha Reeves), it was Tatum Channing’s turn to promote the upcoming cinematic extravaganza. I fell asleep around the second guest whose name I don't ... Read More

The Crystal Method Team Up With Martha Reeves For Jimmy Kimmel Live
Typically I watch MLB Network as I fall asleep. But with a local teams game being featured the channel was blacked out so instead I decided to watch Jimmy Kimmel Live. While I would later ponder just how drunk Jonah Hill was, the thing that stuck with me was Kimmel sharing a story about ½ of the shows musical guest – The Crystal Method. As it turns out, Ken Jordan fired ... Read More

About two weeks ago, South African rave-rap trio Die Antwoord performed their new single "I Fink U Freeky" on the Letterman stage in New York. Last night, however, they two songs from their new album "Ten$ion"—including "Freeky"—in Los Angeles on the Jimmy Kimmel stage.
And if the song titles—"I Fink U Freeky" and "Fatty Boom Boom"—and the lyrics aren't proof enough that the members of this group are clinically insane, then just check out this interview they did with an online Seattle magazine.

In two weeks' time, I'll be journeying to Atlanta to witness influential reggae/ska/funk kings Fishbone playing live, mostly to support their most recent documentary "Everyday Sunshine," which you can purchase on iTunes.
Before they set out on a short tour of the south, the 'Bone rocked the stage at JKL, first with classic track "Everyday Sunshine" off their 1991 album "The Reality of My Surroundings."

Grouplove Pay Jimmy Kimmel Live A Visit
We here at Concert Confessions have been trying to see Grouplove for a while. As you may recall, our founder Reverend Justito attempted to catch the band on the Pan Handle stage at the 2011 Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival. However with a massive crowd assembled at the solar powered stage, he couldn’t even get close enough to hear the band let alone see them. Then our youngest and quite possibly brightest contributor Jakob Ross caught ... Read More

Jimmy Kimmel Bud Light Concert Stage - Hollywood, CA

I know many folks who claim Twitter is for losers. I happen to disagree. I know this is false because I am a winner. Having won tickets for the likes of Mastodon and STS9 on the 140 character social network, I was lucky enough to pull off a personal coup this week. Already thrilled by the news that the band would be closing the side stage of the 2010 ... Read More

Stone Temple Pilots were the music guest on the May 26th episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live. Supporting their brand new self-titled record - the band played a rather lackluster version of the lead single "Between The Lines" before dipping into the back catalogue for "Big Empty."
Hopefully the band is in better shape next weekend when we pay them a visit as part of the 2010 KROQ Weenie Roast.

Depeche Mode 04/23/09
Jimmy Kimmel Live (Hollywood/Vine - Hollywood, CA)
Words/Photos by Poppers 620
So on Thursday, April 23 I got to finally see Depeche Mode. Not that they were a band I was dying to see, but one of those bands where I grew up listening to their music and knew all their songs, but didn’t want to necessarily pay to see them. So when my friend Adam called me saying he had snagged some of the free tix that Jimmy Kimmel Live was ... Read More
