The Breeders are in town. This past Monday the sisters Deal and Co. were at Webster Hall here in New York City on tour supporting the reissue of their 199 masterpiece Last Splash. While in the area, seemed convenient to head over to 30 Rockefeller Center and hang out with Jimmy Fallon to play a couple tracks. The band performed "Cannonball" and "Drivin on 9". You could check out video replays of the performances below.

Bob Mould was on Jimmy Fallon Last Night. Of course no longer doing the Du, Mr. Mould performed "Star Machine" off the new record 'Silver Age' as well as Sugar's "A Good Idea". We've got both of those performances for you below, however for "Star Machine" you have to skip through about 38 minutes of the entire Jimmy Fallon episode that aired last night. Complicated stuff I know, but ya'll are smart folks, I'm sure you'll figure it out.

This past weekend, the Dave Matthews Band was in NYC for their winter tour opener and a pair of Hurricane Sandy benefit concerts.
Since they were in town they stopped by the set of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon for Dave to have a little fun during the show.
The band also performed "Rooftop" with Captain Kirk Douglas from The Roots guesting on guitar. They didn't play any singles from the new album Away From The World (arguably the best thing they've released in ... Read More

Trey Anastasio Band Takeover Jimmy Fallon
Anything written in the next few sentences that is not complete fact will leave this writer ripped apart in Phish blogs for the rest of life. So let's just state the facts. Trey Anastasio is the lead singer and guitar player in the jam band Phish. During his downtime, he has his own band, appropriately named Trey Anastasio Band (some people write TAB). The Trey Anastasio Band has a new album (on orange vinyl) called 'Traveler' . And last and ... Read More

Gary Clark Jr Performs on Jimmy Fallon
Gary Clark Jr is the man. You wanna know how cool dude is? His rhythm guitarist plays a double neck 18 string piece. This looks like the same guitar that blew my own mind at Orion Music + More festival earlier this year. Anyway, last night Gary Clark Jr and his cool ass band hit Late Night w/ Jimmy Fallon to play a song called "Numb" off the new record 'Black And Blu'. They also performed ... Read More

Wu-Tang Clan Rep Staten Island Hard on Jimmy Fallon
Full disclosure here. I, Jay Porks, am from Staten Island and still reside there to this day. You know who else is from Staten Island? The Wu-Tang Clan. You know who else is from Staten Island? Absolutely nobody. There's no way that Wu-Tang was going to get on stage at Jimmy Fallon screaming "Staten Island" and I'm going to pass up posting on that. On my 14th birthday I met Raekwon at a store ... Read More

Animal Collective Perform "Rosie Oh" on Jimmy Fallon
AnCo's (that's what the hip people call them right? Anco?) performance on Conan about a week ago was.. well.. it was interesting to say the least. Tonight, Animal Collective continued to round the late night circuit with a visit to Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. They still had the odd bubbles as stage props-less keyboards this time. You can view this..well.. interesting performance below courtesy of The Audio Perv

Jason Mraz Wears A Fedora on Fallon
Well folks, 'Love' is a four letter word. And so is 'Tour'. 'Blue' is always a four letter word, even if you spell it 'Blew'. What about 'Fedora'? No, that's a six letter word. I figure if a guy who's hat is more famous than his music can have an album with such a ridiculous name, I'm going to have to have fun with it. Anyway, below you can view the video of Jason Mraz performing on Jimmy ... Read More

A$AP Rocky Visits Jimmy Fallon
Who wants to hear about a rapper that this writer cannot freaking stand? Well you're in luck, because A$AP Rocky stopped by Jimmy Fallon last night. Here's what I want to say: How can you name yourself "A$AP Rocky" when there's already an artist walking around by the name of "Aesop Rock". I mean, the dude couldn't give that Wu-Tang Name Generator a test drive? Here let's do it right now, A$AP Rocky translates to "Smilin' Knight" in Wu. ... Read More

The Gaslight Anthem Play "45" For Jimmy Fallon
Last night (and today, and for the rest of your summer) the Olympics took over NBC's airwaves. If you're not interested in turning on NBC right now to watch the US Women's Basketball team squeeze out a win against hopeless Croatia(the hopeless Basketball team, no beefs with the actual country), then we've got an alternative for you. Last night, the Jersey boys themselves The Gaslight Anthem, stopped by Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. The video ... Read More

R Kelly is "Feelin' Single" On Fallon
Last time I remember R Kelly in my field of thought was back in 2002 when him and Jay Z put out that Best Of Both Worlds record. Then the dude drained his lizard on some 15 year old girl and all of a sudden he was persona non grata. People are so sensitive.
Anyway, R Kelly is back and he was on Jimmy Fallon last night. Check out the video below for "Feelin' Single"

Cloud Nothings Bring "Stay Useless" To Jimmy Fallon
If you've never heard this band before, then pause the new Killers song for just 3 minutes to check out just how incredible Cloud Nothings are. Not only is their debut album "Attack On Memory" already generating buzz from critics, but it's already being called one of the best albums of the year. Lead singer/guitarist/mastermind Dylan Baldi is the man behind the lyrics, that inspire the feeling of being too much of a slacker to ... Read More

James Murphy Stops By Late Night With Jimmy Fallon
LCD Soundsystem (and by extension James Murphy) seems to be one of those artists/groups that you either love or you hate. Except for Reverend Justito, he is the one dude on the planet who still has yet to make up his mind. I mean that ‘Someone Great’ song is fucking genius no matter if it is the LCD Soundsystem version or the Toadies version. I digress, the point is Mr. Murphy stopped by the ... Read More

Frank Ocean Brings 'Bad Religion' To Fallon
We have had a lot of internal debate regarding OFWGKTA here at Concert Confessions. Some of us take offense to homophobia and violence against women photographers, while others are willing to separate the ugly from the music. I think we all agree that the recent coming out of OFWGKTA contributor Frank Ocean was nothing short of brave. Well Mr. Ocean hit up Late Night With Jimmy Fallon earlier today (07/09/12) to perform the song “Bad Religion” ... Read More

Fiona Apple Takes Over Late Night w/ Jimmy Fallon
Fresh off announcing more US dates, Fiona Apple appeared on Late Night w/ Jimmy Fallon to perform some songs. Not only that, she sat down for a little interview action with Mr. Fallon, discussing some show he opened for her back in the day (doing what he calls comedy) and she started crying or something like that-I really wasn't paying attention to the interview while I'm typing this up. She seems to be laughing ... Read More

Willie Nelson Covers Pearl Jam On Jimmy Fallon
It's been almost a year since I saw Willie Nelson in Spokane. The legend himself in person. Hard to believe that weekend even happened. So every time he's on TV or something I feel like I have to check it out, to sort of relieve the memories a little bit. So he stopped by 'Late Night', promoting his latest effort Heroes among other things. Hell I would go see him again in NJ tomorrow night ... Read More
