The tour featured Dethklok, Machine Head, All That Remains, and The Black Dahlia Murder. Due to my work schedule and not enough time to get there, I missed The Black Dahlia Murder but I made it in time for All That Remains and ... Read More

Lamb of God 10-31-12: Palladium – Hollywood, CA

Categories: Reviews

This was my first time seeing the American heavy metal band, Lamb of god. This was their 3rd show since the one month incarceration in the Czech Republic of singer, Randy Blythe. The show took place at the world-famous Hollywood Palladium on the sunset strip in Hollywood, California. The opening bands were Sylosis, Hatebreed, and In Flames. Sylosis put on a good show to get the crowd warmed up, once Hatebreed hit the stage the crowd started going wild with mosh pits. In ... Read More

Reverend Justito Presents: The Top 5 Concerts of 2010

Categories: Reviews

Reverend Justito Presents His Top 5 Concerts of 2010 I have been attending concerts non-stop since 1996.  2010 has been a wonderful year of music.  Not that I have the time to keep track of such a statistic, but I do believe that I have seen more shows in 2010 than any other year of my life.  It was not easy to narrow down my top five shows from this year, and chances are this list would be different if you asked me ... Faith No More (w/ Mariachi Los Toros & Redd Kross) 12/01/10 Palladium - Hollywood, CA Words/photos by Reverend Justito I am not sure why Live Nation added a second Faith No More show at the Hollywood Palladium.  Granted, I was shocked that the first show didn’t sell out in a matter of minutes, I personally thought two weeknight shows at the mid-size venue was too much in this harsh economy.  I of course was correct, and earlier this week Live Nation had a $20 gets ... Faith No More (w/ The Creepy Creeps) 11/30/10 The Palladium - Hollywood, CA Words/Photos by Reverend Justito/concertconfessions.com I had always assumed that I would get the chance to see Faith No More.  Sure, the band broke up long before I started seeing concerts on a regular basis, but I knew one day when I was fat, old and bald the time would be right and I would get my chance.  On the last day of November, 2010 this fat, old and balding freakshow got the ... The Cool Tour Goes Hollywood

The Cool Tour 2010 07/31/10 - Palladium: Hollywood, CA Words/Photos/Videos by Reverend Justito/concertconfessions.com  A major reason I started concertconfessions.com was my disgust of journalists from major media outlets.  I hated old and out of touch professionals who were paid to see a show, only to trash and miss-represent an artist due to their failure to connect.  Not knowing over half the bands on the inaugural Cool Tour, I was hesitant to accept an offer for a free ticket/full access press credential.  Fearful of becoming everything ... Coheed and Cambria Announce 2010 US Summer Tour Dates

Categories: Reviews

Earlier this year, one of my favorite bands broke my heart.  I understand that Coachella is very special, but how dare Coheed and Cambria schedule their spring tour to run through Southern California as I was on vacation in Hawaii? Thankfully, the guys will make it up to me by kicking off their US Summer Tour at the Palladium in Hollywood, CA on August 12th.  Dates and opening acts as follows: With Porcupine Tree, The Dear Hunter August 12 Hollywood, CA – Hollywood Palladium Los Angeles, ... Mastodon & Dethklok 11/20/09 The Palladium - Hollywood, CA Words/Photos by Reverend Justito On the night of Sunday, November 15th, 2009 I was sitting on the floor of my bathroom puking into my recently cleaned toilet when the unthinkable happened.  With no warning at all, warm liquid poop flowed right out of my bottom and straight into my underwear.  As I sat with vomit dripping from my beard and pants full of feces, I knew that it could only get better.  No matter how rotten I ... Brand New w/ Manchester Orchestra/The Builders & The Butchers 10/17/2009 - The Palladium: Hollywood, CA Words/Photos by Reverend Justito It is pure dumb luck that I ever gave Brand New a chance.  Sent on assignment to check in on the emerging y’alt rock hipster scene coming out of Portland, OR, I ended up watching Brand New steal a poorly planned festival gig from two veteran alt rock bands.  With an outstanding new album called Daisy I headed into my old stomping grounds to finally experience ... Biohazard & Suicidal Tendencies The Palladium - Hollywood, CA 03/28/09 Words/Photos/Videos by Reverend Justito/concertconfessions.c0m Walking into the Hollywood Palladium just past 9pm on Saturday night, my heart was split 50/50. The left side had hope, the right side was full of natural fear. After all, this is LA and Suicidal Tendencies are about to throw down in their home town. I had high hopes for violence, mayhem, disorderly conduct, nudity, a bit more violence, a few beers and of course a few good tunes serving ... Read More
