Jay-Z is the latest of festival curators to announce the lineup via an annoying Spotify playlist. Right as the ink is dry on the sale of his shares in the New Jersey Brooklyn Nets, the rapper/sports agent announced that Made In America Festival will be returning to Philly this Labor Day Weekend. Big names include Nine Inch Nails, Queens Of The Stone Age and Beyonce`. Other acts on the stupid Spotify playlist signifying their spots at this festival include Phoenix, The Gaslight Anthem, Kendrick ... Read More

Alight folks here we go. Lollapalooza 2013 has revealed it's full lineup. We debated sharing the headliners with you when they broke a few weeks ago ( Phoenix, The Postal Service, The National, the Killers, Mumford & Sons and Vampire Weekend). We decided to wait for the full lineup, and it turned out alright.
In the artists we care about after giving the lineup a quick skim category we list these folks:
Queens of the Stone Age, Nine Inch Nails ,The Cure, Ghost(not calling them B.C.!),Kendrick Lamar, ... Read More

As 2011 reaches a close, we take a look back at the year in concerts. In volume, I probably attend the least amount of total shows per year if you pool all of the contributors here at Concert Confessions. But never the less, by years end I will have reached 23 concerts, eclipsing last years total of 20. My only personal goal is to always get out to more shows then the year before. We did that in 2011, and here's hoping ... Read More

Ok folks, I first must once again apologize for the severe tardiness of my reviews. I have had a very eventful summer to say the least and my lazy ass never got motivated enough to post my reviews. I did however post 95% of all the videos I recorded this summer on Youtube.com. Now it is time to kick back and enjoy the hellride of a summer that I ... Read More

Spent much of this weekend just staring around in amazement, repeating the phrase “Holy freaking God” over and over again. This is a special 53rd installment of the Jay Porks Never Ending Concert Series as it took us to Newark Airport, where I hopped on a plane and came out to Washington State(Home of the Cougs) to meet up with some of the Northwest chapter of Concert Confessions: thenaturalstoner ,Mr Sparkly (Who Are Hosting Me) and possibly another 3 as at last check ... On July 30, two epic concerts graced the west coast. One of them was LA Rising, which featured Rage Against the Machine, Muse, and Rise Against. The other was at the Gorge Amphitheater in George, Washington. The bands included Soundgarden, Queens of the Stone Age, Mastodon and Meat Puppets. Many other Concert Confessions writers were there that night, so here was one side to the same story. My dad and I ... Read More

Queens of the Stone Age 04/12/11
Wiltern - Los Angeles, CA

When Queens of the Stone Age announced they were hitting the road in support of the re-release of their self-titled debut album, I knew I couldn’t miss it. After all, I am one of the few who can say they saw Joshua Homme and friends when they originally supported the debut album over a decade ago. It was a hot August night in San Francisco, and the band “opened” for ... Read More

On the night of October 1st, 2005, I found myself inside the Hollywood Bowl enjoying one of my favorite bands - Queens of the Stone Age as the main support to Nine Inch Nails. As smoke from the rampant forest fires across the Southland choked the autumn air, I witnessed a quick and clever set from Queens. It was also ... Read More

The fine folks over at Consequence of Sound are reporting that Queens of the Stone Age will perform their first US show in nearly two years next month at Club Nokia in Los Angeles, CA. The show which will also feature Eagles of Death Metal will be a benefit for EODM bassist Brian O’Connor who is currently fighting cancer while having no medical insurance. Dean Ferita - bassist for The Dead Weather/Queen of the Stone Age is currently filling in for O'Connor.

This weekend I am heading out to the 2010 KROQ Weenie Roast. In honor of seeing wonderful artists including Against Me!, Stone Temple Pilots, Deftones and that cute ginger kid who just flashed her boobies on Twitter, I figured I would share some photos from my first trip to the KROQ Weenie Roast back in 2007 (long before I was regularly writing concert reviews). I hope you enjoy - and of course you can expect full coverage of the 2010 event here ... Read More

Editors Note: With LA on fire once again, and tonight being the "last" time I see Nine Inch Nails, I figured it was appropriate to share with you the very first concert review I wrote (for my myspace blog). In going back and reading this today, I was not only reminded of a wonderful night I had, but am rather amazed to see how far my writing has ... Read More
